The Birth of Excelsior Springs—"America's Haven of Health"The story of The Elms begins with the discovery of healing mineral waters in Excelsior Springs in the late 1800s. In 1880, when local farmer Travis Mellion's daughter Opal fell ill with a form of incurable tuberculosis, he asked campers in the area for advice. They suggested giving Opal spring water bubbling from the bank of a nearby river. Mellion gave his daughter the spring water to drink and bathe in, and, after several weeks, she steadily improved and was eventually completely cured.
Word of Opal's healing spread, and soon every ailment from bad joints to Civil War wounds were being treated with the waters. More springs were discovered, and thousands of people poured into the tiny valley to sample the water. Visiting pastor John Van Buren Flack and landowner Anthony Wyman recognized the phenomenon's potential and developed the land, forming the town of Excelsior Springs. They began advertising the healing effects of the water, bringing even more visitors to the valley.

AUTOMATIC BILLING PLAN: You can enroll in our automatic billing, and relax knowing that your future payments will be made automatically. When you book, we’ll calculate an evenly divided automatic billing plan for you and you will know in advance the day of every month that your payment will be processed. Your initial deposit is due at the time of booking, and your future payments will be charged according to the schedule you see on your invoice. Automatic billing is available at no charge.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:
  • Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse. Trip insurance is therefore suggested. See link below for insurance or you can purchase travel insurance on your own.

TRAVEL NOTES: 
  • When making your reservations, you can choose to pay in full or select our convenient payment plan. If you select a payment plan, you will automatically be added to our automatic monthly payment plan option. You can opt-out of this program by emailing us at [email protected]
  • Please review our auto payment plans for your desired trip.
  • If you choose the monthly payment plan, you will receive monthly notices when your payment is due.
  • Provided full payment is received no later than your Final Payment Due date, travel documents, itineraries and travel instructions will be sent via email 30 days or earlier prior to travel.
  • Please be mindful that we suggest and recommend all attendees should arrive at the specified departure location before departure time of 5:00 a.m. which is the time the bus will depart.
  • It is the guests’ responsibility to notify [email protected] of all email address changes.

TERMS & POLICIES
  • Making reservations for this package signifies your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.
  • All of your payments to Go Chic Adventures, LLC are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
  • Reservations must be made in your FULL NAME as it appears on your government-issued identification.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice. Please make your reservations today at this low price to be locked in.
  • Monthly payments are required to keep your reservations current unless paid in full at time of booking.
  • Name changes are allowed with a $250 name change fee.
  • Late payment of $250 per person is required after final due date. Late payment fees are automatically added to your reservations the day after your final due date.
  • Go Chic Adventures, LLC Management must approve all late payment requests before the final payment deadline on your account.
